This product may also be called: x-ray tubes for structural analysis. Structural analysis x-ray tubes are used to generate x-rays when cathode rays collide with heavy metal atoms. BSV tubes and BS tubes are used in industry for structural analysis. Symbol: Tube BSV28, where: B – radiation protection (in a protective casing). S – used for structural analysis. The nature of the forced cooling: – V – water; 28 – a number indicating the serial number of the type of tube (all possible options are shown in the table with modifications). Water consumption at temperature: – + 20 ° С – from 3 l / min to 12 l / min; – + 50 ° С – from 5 l / min to 6 l / min. The relative contamination of the spectrum by emission by side lines is not more than 0.5%. Durability – at least 300 hours. At an open ambient temperature – + 100 ° C The glass x-ray tube is evacuated to high vacuum. Two electrodes are embedded in the tube: a massive anode in the form of a copper rod and a cathode in the form of a current-heated tungsten filament surrounded by a focusing cylinder or cup. Four windows are made of special glass in the tube, which absorbs little x-rays. A steel cylinder is screwed onto the anode end of the tube with four holes mounted against the windows of the tube. Through these holes, x-rays exit the tube. The specific power of the BSV lamp can reach 10 kW / mm2, since the smaller the focus, the better the heat sink and the greater overloads can be tolerated.
